How to Create Your Own Drive In Theater Experience

Drive-In Movies

Yes! You read that right, with all the quarantine and COVID going around during this pandemic it has been so hard to see people and social distance. So, guess what we made away by using supplies we had for our own backyard! That’s right! It is seriously so exciting and we have had a lot of fun as a family spending time together watching movies in our own backyard.

Supplies Needed

Some type of screen

      • Then you will a projector, this is when it can get kind of pricey. We already had a really nice one thanks to my awesome dad. Anyways, I researched and tried to find a fairly cost-effective one for you all, but I also linked the exact one that we have too (which again is pretty expensive).
          • Epson projector  This is the very exact one that we have.
          • Although, like I said I searched these for a while and amazon has some smaller ones that may work to watch movies on as well.

DVD Player

      • Blu-ray and DVD player
      • YOu can easily use your laptop as long as you have an HDMI cable or USB port. However, if you have a mac computer it is best to get the extension for the HDMI because it is hard to play with a DVD player, we found out the hard way with that one.

After everything was all set up it was time to eat the food and enjoy the movie. I wanted to put a list of a few of the movies we have watched already to add to your watchlist. Also, here is a picture of us enjoying all the movies.

Movie List

These are the only ones we have watched so far, but hoping to make it last until the snow starts coming or it just gets to cold here in Michigan. Thank you for reading and I will update with more movies once we watch them. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me, or leave a comment below 🙂
